Anything can happen when you make a bet with the internet.
20-year-old Kelsey Hall probably had no idea what fresh hell she was setting herself up for when she posted this photo of herself wearing a Christmas tree costume.
1,000 retweets and I’ll wear this to all my classes for the rest of the semester pic.twitter.com/uzIDepK43k— Kelsey Hall (@kelseyhall1313) December 3, 2017
With a completely straight face and in her truly iconic Christmas look, Kelsey posted a challenge to her followers. "1,000 retweets and I'll wear this to all my classes for the rest of the semester."
Kelsey told Buzzfeed News that she didn't think it would actually happen. It just goes to show that you should never underestimate the internet's ability to rise to a challenge.
At present, Kelsey's original post has 23,000 retweets, so she's well over her initial goal.
But, as is to be expected, she was a bit hesitant about it. We don't blame her for being a biiiiit wary of the look she would have to rock for the rest of the semester.
Guys I️ really don’t want to do this— Kelsey Hall (@kelseyhall1313) December 4, 2017
Kelsey's initial hesitation didn't stop her from following through on her pledge, though. As promised, she showed up to class wearing the Christmas tree costume.
Day 2: it’s raining and this costume is about to get all wet and gross 😫 pic.twitter.com/umqaOoPob2— Kelsey Hall (@kelseyhall1313) December 5, 2017
By the looks of it, Kelsey is powering through and making the most of her Christmassy week. What an absolute champ.
