MAN YOUR BATTLE STATIONS

Fans are speculating that The 1975 will be dropping new music this week after their manager seemed to confirm the news on Twitter.

Responding to a tweet from a fan who posted a picture of a pink sky with the caption, "the iliwys era is still here", their manager Jamie Oborne quote tweeted with his own comment, saying: "Yes for a few more days..."

If it's true, it will be the first new music the band have released since their second album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, which was released back in February 2016.

We're ready.

As previously reported, the band are expected to call their third album Music For Cars. Osbourne had already confirmed that the band had written and recorded most of the new material, including one song written about their fans. Based off of tweets by Oborne and Matty Healy, it is believed the record will drop on the 1st June.

The band also changed all their social media icons to plain white and deleted lots of posts to around June 2017, when the band played their last show. This was similar to what they did in preparation for their last album.

There were plans to release an EP called 'What A Shame' before the new album, however it appears that this is no longer happening, as the band nor anyone affiliated with them has publicly commented on it in months.
