It looks like album five is really happening

In the three years since Twenty One Pilots’ last album, Blurryface, and their fans have been busy at work gathering breadcrumbs that could hint at their comeback. The duo rarely speak about their music until it’s done, and after pretty quietly going on hiatus in 2017, fans haven’t had much to go on – until now.

Fans initially thought that the band were coming back on the 19th of April, but that didn’t turn out to be true. After that they uncovered a “secret” site that appeared to be teasing their return and a word that seemed to be pertinent to the comeback – “Clancy”. Another word that seems relevant is “Dema”, as Josh Dun said at the 2017 APMAs that Tyler Joseph couldn’t be there because he was “severing ties with Dema” – which keen fans have linked to the “Tower of Silence” in Iran.

You can go pretty deep on all this Dema/Clancy theory, and keen fans have been searching certain keywords on the band’s website to see what comes up. When searching for “July”, one fan noticed that the result is “Friday alright which one of you admin fuckers Told them im dropping the album(43),Friday Alright who I one of you admin fuckers told them I'm dropping the album(43), Friday alright which one of you fuckers told them im dropping the album(43), Friday alright which one of you admin fuckers(43), friday july 13 silent ones(43)”

This could mean that the new album is coming on Friday July 13, which seems pretty in keeping with the creepy imagery and symbolism of this new era. These theories are truly wild, but there’s definitely something going down in camp tøp.

Do you think the Friday 13th July release date is true?
