The owners of the house say fans of the show are routinely breaking in and damaging property.

The "Murder House" from American Horror Story season one is pretty iconic. It's the house that got us hooked on the horrifying series and die hard fans might even consider making the pilgrimage to the Ryan Murphy Mecca.

Fan curiosity about the house isn't without consequence, however. Turns out, the couple who own the real life "Murder House" are sick and tired of AHS fans showing up unannounced. In fact, they're so sick of it that they're suing.

The current owners of the Rosenheim Mansion in Los Angeles told CBS News that they are suing the house's previous owner and the realtor for damages.

Ernst Von Schwarz and Angela Oakenfold say they were never informed about the show's enthusiastic fan base who routinely show up to take selfies, peer into the home, and even break in.

The couple say fans of the show have even damaged parts of some fencing they erected to keep intruders out.

Schwarz and Oakenfold went on to describe numerous run-ins with overzealous fans. From intruders perched on their ledges to teenage girls being elevated by a garbage truck crane in order to see into the property, they've experienced it all.

Their lawyer told The Real Deal that the couple were woken up one night to the sound of glass breaking and a stranger entering the house through their kitchen window.

This should go without saying, but you 100% should NOT break in to someone else's home because you like a TV show.

The first season of American Horror Story followed the fictional killings that occurred in the "Murder House" over the span of many decades. The house's current occupants (played by Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, and Taissa Farmiga) are troubled by the evil in the home and eventually driven to the edge by the spirits who occupy the property.

The IRL owners of The Murder House may not have an outright ghost infestation, but it definitely sounds like they've got a horror story of their own.
