The Black Hood is back and no one in Riverdale is safe.

Riverdale's 'Carrie: The Musical' episode aired last night and it was full of surprises. While the characters were committed and focused on the school production, we still managed to advance a major storyline.

The Black Hood is back and he (or she?!) means business this time.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. YOU KNOW THE DRILL.

So! If you've seen Riverdale season 2 episode 18, 'A Night To Remember', you'll know that the Black Hood returned to Riverdale and took our poor sweet Midge Klump.

Things spelled trouble for this ancillary but persistent character after she replaced Cheryl Blossom as the lead in the musical. You know it's never good news when a main character is taken out of a major situation.

If you recall, Midge and Moose had a brush with death earlier in the season.

Fortunately, the two lovers were lucky at the time. However, Midge didn't remain lucky for much longer.

In the killer's death note, they pretty much promised to come for all the "immoral" people he (or she?!) didn't get to kill the first time around.

You'll remember that Midge and Moose were fans of the ol' Jingle-Jangle. Definitely immoral in the Black Hood's eyes.

Midge's demise definitely came as a shock.

And people didn't fail to notice that the audience's reaction was...weird.

As expected, the fan sleuthing is WELL underway.

Welp, Midge has gone to that big Chock'lit Shoppe in the sky and it's up to the gang to figure out who did it before there's no one left in Riverdale to kill.

Who do you think the Black Hood REALLY is? Trust us, we've been obsessing about it, too.
