What do you MEAN I've changed houses?
In September last year, Pottermore was given a gorgewaaah new face lift but what it giveth, it also taketh away... 'cause there was no Sorting Ceremony. On Jan 28, it was announced that the Sorting Hat had returned to Hogwarts and that you could retake the quiz with the new design.
But when you log in, you're given two options. Option #1: Reclaim your house from the Beta version and carry on your life at Hogwarts as normal or option #2: RE. TAKE. THE. QUIZ.
Obviously, you'd opt to retake the quiz, right? It's the same quiz with the same questions, so if you answered honestly the first time then this whole situation shouldn't be too much of a traumatic experience, RIGHT?!
WRONG. And so began the great wizarding identity crisis of 2016.
scared of doing the pottermore sorting hat as if i don't get slytherin i would have to rethink my entire life choices— catrina (@danshowell) January 28, 2016
i took the new pottermore sorting quiz and things are different now :(— Sami Main (@samimain) January 28, 2016
Like, Pottermore SPECIFICALLY sorted me into Slytherin last time. JUST WAIT UNTIL MY FATHER HEARS ABOUT THIS.— Anne T. Donahue (@annetdonahue) January 28, 2016
Afraid to take the new @pottermore sorting quiz, because if I get anything other than Ravenclaw, it'll be a full-blown identity crisis.— Jessica Rossana (@jessica_jean15) January 28, 2016
Somehow, in the 3 times I have taken the Pottermore Sorting quiz, I have been put into Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff AND Gryffindor #identitycrisis— Lara (@Laroar13) January 28, 2016
4 out of 6 of the PopBuzz team controversially ended up in different houses which begs the question: Have we all really changed that much since 2011 or has this damn hat been hexed by Potter and his cronies?! What. Is. Happening?!
