Celebration of the whole saga or "What could have been"? You decide.

Ever since it was announced in 2012 that The Hobbit was to be adapted into a trilogy, fans have been divided. Many have embraced the change, appreciating the way the films have helped expand the story and the set-up to The Lord Of The Rings; whereas others feel a sense of injustice by the stretching of the single book, and have accused director Peter Jackson of being in it for the money.

No matter what side of the fence you're on, everybody can appreciate this fan-cut trailer for "The Hobbit: The Complete Journey". Taking footage from the trailers for all three films, some preview clips and even clips from the original trilogy, editor Joel Walden has compiled a full-length trailer that celebrates the full story of The Hobbit, and the legacy of the entire Middle Earth saga.

You can view it as a look at what might have been, had The Hobbit only been one film; or you can look at it as a chronicling of the entire story. Either way, it's a lot of fun to watch.

With The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies coming out in the UK on Friday (12th), this has gotten us more excited than ever.
