"Perez is a middle-aged man and earns a living by attacking young kids for just having fun. CANCEL HIM, or at least BAN HIM from Tiktok."

Fans of TikTok superstar Charli D’Amelio have set up a petition to have Perez Hilton removed from TikTok.

The petition, which has over 84,000 signatures at the time of writing, says that Perez should be banned from TikTok because he "spreads negativity on the app". It is believed the petition was set up in response to the ongoing feud between Charli and Perez.

To give you a little background, Perez (real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) rose to prominence 15 years ago for his controversial gossip website perezhilton.com. Perez became infamous for his many controversies, including outing gay male celebrities, and several celebrity feuds, most notably with Lady Gaga.

The feud between Charli and Perez began when Hilton commented on one of Charli's TikTok videos (Mar 3), which she recorded while on holiday in the Bahamas.

In the video, Charli dances in her bikini on the beach to 'Sugar' by Brockhampton. Perez commented on the video: "Anyone else think it's inappropriate for a 15-year-old to dance to this?", to which Charli replied on Twitter, writing: "i'm sorry i'm just trying to have fun! :)."

Charli later tweeted: "I will continue to post when i feel happy and confident so if me wearing a swimsuit at the beach is a problem well sucks to suck doesn’t it"

At first, people thought Perez was referring to Charli wearing a bikini. He later clarified his comments in a YouTube livestream, saying: “These people still are letting me have it over me asking a question on the biggest TikToker of the moment's account when she did a video earlier this week gyrating, moving in an adult way to a song about taking big D!" he said. "All I asked was, is it appropriate of her to be doing this? My main issue was with her parents, not her!"

Perez then doubled down on his criticism of Charli's parents, sharing a TikTok (Mar 7) that mentioned that Charli’s father, Marc D'Amelio, had been arrested on drunk driving charges in 2014, and that Charli was in the car at the time of the arrest.

Marc D'Amelio addressed this incident in a 2018 interview while running for a seat in the Connecticut state Senate, saying: "I've already taken responsibility five years ago," he said in 2018, according to local publication The Hour

Now, fans of Charli have created a petition on Change.org calling for Hilton's removal from TikTok and it already has 84,000 signatures.

The petition, titled "BAN PEREZ HILTON FROM TIKTOK", describes Perez as a "middle-aged man" who "earns a living by attacking young kids" and calls on him to be cancelled. The description reads:

"Perez Hilton is SCARY. Plain and simple. He is currently 42 years old, and attacks young teenagers (15 years old) for wearing BATHING SUITS. He is problematic and spreads negativity on the app, Tiktok. His whole career is based off of creating drama - which is something we seriously don't need right now. Perez is a middle-aged man and earns a living by attacking young kids for just having fun. CANCEL HIM, or at least BAN HIM from Tiktok. His videos are inappropriate and should be taken down, period."

Perez has now responded to the petition, writing on Twitter: "This petition has been so good for me!! Loving all this press!!! AND my TikTok account keeps growing! And at a faster rate than before! THANK YOU! Sincerely! Deeply!

“The funniest thing is that this Charli D'Amelio drama all started because I commented "Is this appropriate?" on a vid of this 15 y.o. dancing sexually in a bikini to a song that literally says "I can't talk big dick but I'll suck on it." Is this appropriate; that's all I said!”

Yikes. Looks like this drama escalated fast! [H/T Insider]
