Jaden Smith has called out Kanye West after the hitmaker wore a White Lives Matter top at his Yeezy fashion show in Paris.

Yesterday (Oct 3), Kanye West hosted a pop-up show in Paris to celebrate the launch of season 9 of his Yeezy clothing line and the event quickly sparked controversy online. Kanye, and his models, wore items with the words "White Lives Matter" emblazoned on them. Conservative commentator Candace Owens was also at the show in a "White Lives Matter" top.

Many people have since taken to Twitter to call out Kanye for being disrespectful to the Black Lives Matter movement and victims of police brutality. During the event, Jaden Smith also revealed that he had to get up and leave, and he's taken to Twitter to call Kanye out for it.

Confirming that he had left the show, Jaden tweeted: "I Had To Dip Lol". He also tweeted: "True Leaders Lead" and "I Don’t Care Who’s It Is If I Don’t Feel The Message I’m Out." In a now-deleted tweet, Jaden continued: "I can't stand behind what Kanye's saying. He does not have the full support of the youth."

Jaden has since followed up his tweets by adding: "Black Lives Matter", "We Demand A More Progressive Future", "Think For Yourself, Have Your Own Opinion" and "Follow Your Own Morals Instead Of People."

Jaden's comments join the many people criticising Kanye for his actions. BET host Marc Lamont Hill tweeted: "Kanye West decision to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why…"

Meanwhile, writer Jemele Hill tweeted: "So many folks are trying to excuse Kanye wearing a white lives matter t-shirt as just a troll move or marketing. Maybe it is. But it’s a dangerously dumb message to send for someone with his massive platform."

In response to the backlash, Kanye has now doubled down on his actions. Taking to Instagram stories (Oct 3), Kanye wrote: "Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now it's over. You're welcome".
