Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that she hasn’t let her son Mason Disick have french fries in a whole year.

During a new interview to promote her new supplement company, Lemme, Kourtney Kardashian gave fans an insight into her “wellness journey” and how she tries to make healthy eating choices for her and her children.

She opened up on a recent moment when she had to turn down the request of her son, 12-year-old Mason Disick, for french fries.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Kourtney said: "Today I was having my one-on-one time with my son [Mason] and he said, 'Mom, I need McDonald's french fries today, please. It's been a year since I've had it.' I was like, 'Today's not the day, sorry.'"

Mason, who she shares with ex Scott Disick, is the oldest of Kourtney’s three children. The couple also share 9-year-old Penelope and 7-year-old Reign.

Elsewhere in the interview, The Kardashians star shared how her wellness journey began once she started having children.

"When I had Mason is when I really started my wellness journey," she explained. "He's very smart. He'll tell me, 'A person was bad because they let me have Cheetos.'"

She added: "Once I had kids was when I really bumped it up and started taking it more seriously. Nicole Richie really helped. She was one of my only friends who had kids before I did. She was like, 'You have to buy this one book, ‘Super Baby Food’, and it was all about making [your own] baby food. It taught me about organic products and, honestly, it changed my life on how I started eating. Then it was a snowball effect."

People were divided on Kourtney’s healthy eating regime, with some suggesting it was too strict.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Kourtney Kardashian declaring her son as smart because he judges people as good people or bad people based on what they eat and then bragging about it like it's a proud parenting moment is yikes. All of those Kardashian kids are going to have body image issues for sure.”

Another person tweeted: “Kourtney Kardashian is proud of her son Mason for saying that others who eat junk food are bad people. Kourtney shouldn’t have taught her children to judge those who eat unhealthy and automatically call them bad because her kids don’t allow them those kinds of food."

The star reportedly even goes as far as cutting all dairy, sugar and gluten from her and her kids’ lives. Her healthy eating went so far as to cause a disagreement with Kim Kardashian in a 2019 episode of the family reality show, where her daughter Penelope and Kim’s daughter North wanted to have a sweet-themed joint birthday party.

Kim was stunned when Kourtney insisted she didn’t want any “junk food” at the event and hit back at Kourtney, saying: “Kourtney has this vision of no sugar or no disgusting chemicals in candy. It’s like a completely sugar-free, gluten-free, party-free, fun-free zone because Kourtney has decided that. It just doesn’t make sense and it really wasn’t the theme of what North and Penelope wanted for their birthday.”

What do you think? Is Kourtney’s healthy eating plan for her children a little much?
