When you're singing a song from one of your favourite artists, sometimes it almost feels like they're in the room with you (if you're good). But when a young Ed Sheeran fan took to the stage in a mall in Canada, she probably didn't expect an actual appearance from the man himself.
Ed was doing a bit of shopping in Edmonton when he heard 13 year-old Sydney Bourbea singing "Thinking Out Loud" onstage outside HMV, as part of a fundraiser for Edmonton Humane Society. Sneaking onstage to join her, Ed gave Sydney the fright of her life, before the two carried on with the song together (with some killer harmonies from Ed).
ADORABLE.
Sydney described the experience as "the best thing that's ever happened to [her]" to the Edmonton Journal.
"I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him," she said. Ed disappeared as quickly as he came, but hopefully that just adds to her adorable story.
