INTERVIEW: Story Untold Enter The PopBuzz Confession Booth

Pop punk frontman Janick Thiabault talks his first email address and celebrity crushes as the band prepare to drop their debut album.

The Montreal group have previously toured with the likes of Simple Plan and dropped their first EP last year with a new album on the way shortly. We caught up with frontman, and occasional YouTuber, Janick Thibault to really get to know the next big name in pop punk. Yep, it's time for the dreaded PopBuzz Confession Booth!
PopBuzz: What was your first email address?
Janick Thibault: It was ameridio@hotmail.com. I was a huge Green Day fan at the time (I still am) and my email address was basically a mix of the words "American" and "Idiot"... lame, I know.
PB: What is the worst album you've ever bought?
JT: AC/DC live somewhere... Haha. There was this sale where you could get 2 CDs for $10 and I didn't know which CD I should pick, so I chose AC/DC.
PB: Who was your first celebrity crush?
JT: Megan Fox, DUH?!
PB: Who is the messiest on the tour bus?
JT: Definitely Jessy, he doesn't car about things that aren't his. Last time we went on tour I think Max lost about $50 worth of food because Jessy would either sit on his food or put his bags and all of his things on it.
PB: What's the worst band name you ever had?
JT: Elec3cal, no need to explain why it was lame.
PB: What's the biggest lie you've ever told?
JT: That I'm taller than I actually am. I know it doesn't seem that much of a big deal, but I'm actually really short so when people see me in real life, most of the time they're shocked... especially if I told them I was taller.
PB: Have you ever stolen anything?
JT: Never! I'm a good kid, my mom loves me.
PB: When was the last time you dropped some food on the floor and ate it?
JT: Ok so one night I was doing a party at my place and at one point we were hungry. I decided to put a pizza in the oven but eventually completely forgot about it. About 30 min later, somebody yelled "The pizza is burning!". So I ran up to the kitchen and decided to take out the pizza but forgot to put oven gloves... I did it twice in 15 seconds. We ended up eating the whole pizza on the floor.
PB: When did you last shit yourself?
JT: This morning when I saw my face in the mirror.

Story Untold's self-titled EP and their new single 'Delete' are out now on Hopeless Records. Their debut album is due to drop later this year.
