Ben Platt, Zoey Deutch, Laura Dreyfuss and Lucy Boynton spill the tea on how well behaved they were at school.

Another day, another Netflix originals series to binge watch. And this time it's the long-awaited Ryan Murphy creation The Politician.

The show follows Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a student from Santa Barbara, who has known since age seven that he's going to be President of the United States. But first he has to get through high school, while embarking on his first political campaign to become student President of Saint Sebastian High School.

The Politician is the first of a number of projects by Murphy set to be included in his five-year Netflix contract, rumoured to be worth as much as $300 million. The show has already been renewed for a second season.

A couple of weeks ago when the cast flew in for the UK premiere, we caught up with four of the stars of the show; Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen, Pitch Perfect 2), Zoey Deutch (Beautiful Creatures, Dirty Grandpa), Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Laura Dreyfuss (Glee).

Considering all the shady shenanigans that go down during the student president campaign at Saint Sebastian High School, we decided to find out what the cast were like at high school IRL and whether they were in anyway similar to their characters.
