Check out the haunting first look at "AMY" coming to cinemas in July.
It has been nearly four years since the death of soul singer Amy Winehouse, and at just 27 she was one of many talented stars who succumbed to the pressures of fame.
Her story is one that director Asif Kapadia hopes to tell in Amy's own words, in upcoming documentary AMY. Using extensive footage from Amy's early life, performances and other never-before-seen clips, the SENNA director hops to shed some light on the meteoric rise to fame of someone who, in her own words, just wants to sing.
The first teaser for the feature length production debuted online yesterday; it's a brief but chilling tribute to the star, with multiple clips used in the feature coming together to form an awesome mosaic, accompanied by quotes straight from Amy's mouth and a haunting a capella version of "Back To Black". Check it out below.
