Listen to "Ship To Wreck", yet another release from the band's upcoming third album.
We won't officially be getting Florence + The Machine's upcoming album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful until June, but it seems that we're on track to hear every song from the album before the release. The band posted the official audio for new track "Ship To Wreck" on their VEVO page yesterday.
It sounds a little different from the band's other releases; "Ship To Wreck" is a pushy, fast-paced guitar/drum track that wouldn't sound out of place on a car radio. It's very "driving anthem", though Florence Welch's wide vocal range is a little different to the bands on your dad's driving mixtape.
"I was thinking about my own self destructive side, and how you can make something only to tear it down, enjoy/destroy, create/devastate etc," explains Florence, describing the song's writing process. "When you’re in that whirlwind, you often end up breaking the thing you love the most."
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful is available for pre-order and will be released on June 1st.
