This may blow your mind.

Some may tell you there's a time and a place to cover sad Beatles songs. This surgery patient may respectfully disagree.

Anthony Dias underwent major brain surgery this week, and was kept awake during the procedure. He opted to bring his guitar along for the ride and, along with some accidental accompaniment from a beeping hospital instrument, powered through a cover of the Beatles' classic "Yesterday".

There's not a lot of the actual surgery to see until near the end, but look out for that if you're squeamish:

Mr. Dias apparently also played a repertoire of songs including one he'd written for his son, and a cover of a song from native Brazilian band Roupa Nova.
