Good work, kid.

My Chemical Romance may be on the outs but that hasn't stopped former bassist Mikey Way from pursuing other interests, like a whole new band, sound, and aesthetic.

Very much belonging to the school of emo rockers violently hurled into their 30s, Way's collaboration with David Debiak (Sleep Station) sounds a mile away from the music MCR was known for.

The pair teamed up early last year and debuted a track titled "I lied" but their latest offering, "Let You Get Away" is far different to that.

Brother to MCR frontman, Gerard, Mikey's efforts at music sounds like the cross section between Tears For Fears, Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, and Death Cab For Cutie. Very safe yet very enjoyable.
