Very emotional.

Atlanta based rising star Raury isn't sleeping on 2015. The month isn’t even half over but the rapper/singer has new music out and it’s kind of heartbreaking.

Fresh from his dark horse of a debut record, Raury dug deep for inspiration to write his new song, "Fly".

Very much in the vein of young African American musicians talking openly about Ferguson's broken community, Raury has joined the chorus of artists speaking out about police brutality.

On his latest song, Raury gets impossibly real when speaking about the experience of being young, black, and male in America.

"I hope my son never becomes a hashtag," he sings mournfully, bringing to mind the dozens of families whose tragedies have become trending topics on twitter with little justice.
