Listen to the actor's insane guest rap on the remix of Skepta's "Shutdown".

Idris Elba. He's been a jaded detective, an Asgardian demi-god, cancelled the apocalypse, and broke a land-speed record just because he could (that last one wasn't even an acting role). But did you know he can rap like hell too?

Guest-starring on the official remix of Skepta's "Shutdown", Elba contributes his own grime-fuelled, Kanye-esque flow to the track, referencing amongst other things his roles in Pacific Rim and The Wire.

"See that Wire? Shut it down/Ain't nobody else selling brown/Ain't nobody else Stringer Bell/Boy from the East End did well."

Skepta posted the remix to his Soundcloud where fans have been raving about Elba's unexpected skills. Listen below.

The original version of Skepta's "Shutdown" was released in April, and is known for featuring a controversial sample of some criticism that called Skepta's BRIT Awards appearance with Kanye West "aggressive" and "intimidating".
