Everyone's fave new musical had a huge night in NYC and the fandom really let its feelings out...especially regarding Ben Platt.

The Tony Awards, Broadway's annual televised celebration of the season (basically the Olympics of jazz hands), took place in NYC last night (June 12th) hosted by Frank Underwood himself, Kevin Spacey.

But there was only one name on everyone's mind as the smash hit musical Dear Evan Hansen won six awards including Best Musical, Best Featured Actress in A Musical for Rachel Bay Jones and Best Actor in A Musical for the brilliantly talented Ben Platt in the title role.

The show, focusing on a story of teen suicide and its aftereffects, gained a great deal of attention in the wake of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, the musical seen by many as a more relevant and well-written portrayal of this sensitive subject, garnering legions of young fans in the process.

So, of course the internet went WILD over every Evan-related event of the evening.

There were the inspiring speeches:

Then there were the red carpet pics:

So cute.

Then, of course, there was this epic performance.

We're not crying, you are.

Basically, as the night unfolded, the DEH fandom let all their feelings out online:

There were even a few famous admirers among the bunch:

Which is great and everything but we're pretty sure Nick Jonas tweeting just made it even f*cking harder to get tickets! Dammit.

Congrats to the whole team involved - now, did somebody say West End transfer?! (Please, please, please...).
