BRB, live streaming everything with my BFF.

Instagram is rolling out a feature that will change the way you and your friends live stream content on the platform.

Live broadcasts have been a huge tool on Instagram for a while. Now, with the help of Instagram's new "request" feature, you can invite friends to join in on your live streams, making for the perfect live collabs.

Instagram tested the feature earlier this year before officially adding it to the platform. In essence, users will now be able to activate a "request" button that will allow them to approve a friend to add to their live stream.

Instagram tweeted a video of the new feature in action.

This new feature has a lot of potential. Whether you just want to live stream you and your BFF's hilarious conversations or you're a celebrity wanting to get close with a fan for a special interactive live stream event.

You can invite and boot people off your stream at your leisure. When hosting a live broadcast you'll be able to see individual people requesting to join your stream, which you can choose to accept at your own discretion.

For the time being, users will only be able to collaborate with one mutual at a time (so, no you won't just be able to request to join a random person's live stream).

That said, some famous people follow their fans so you could very well find yourself on the other end of a live stream with one of your faves.
