Everyone loves taking a selfie, don't they? There's something so satisfying about finding the perfect combination of lighting, angle and (let's be real) filters to create the most god damn beautiful picture of yourself that you've ever seen.

The only problem is finding what works best can be a very time-consuming task. If only there was a way to find the perfect angle without taking a million bad selfies firs-OH HELLO THERE SCIENCE!
Yep, an actual study into selfies was undertaken by a university in Germany and they've figured out the exact pose you need to make to take the perfect selfie.
The study focused on 172 participants' reactions to different 3D faces being shown to them. What they found was people responded more favourably to the images where the subjects had adopted one specific pose.
So what is the magic pose? According to the study, the most popular position was when they had tilted their head at a 15 degree angle and to the right. Here's our precious cry baby stunning the fuck out this selfie with a perfect 15 degree head tilt.
