Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz will produce and act as music supervisor for Snapchat's new comedy series about mental health called 'Everything's Fine'.
Fall Out Boy fans, be prepared. Your favourite bassist is teaming up with Snapchat for a brand new comedy series called Everything's Fine. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Snapchat is premiering a brand new slate of shows, one of which will be produced by Pete Wentz. He has signed on to be the music supervisor on the upcoming series.
Per THR, Everything's Fine will be about mental health, specifically about a college student who has bipolar disorder and is trying to catch their big break in the music industry.
Pete Wentz has spoken openly in the past about his own experience having bipolar disorder.
Everything's Fine is only one of two new Snapchat shows expected to centre around mental health. The other, Mind Yourself is reportedly about "a young person suffering from or recovering from a mental health issue".
"Mental health is something we think a lot about at the company," said Sean Mills, head of original content at Snapchat. "We believe in telling great compelling stories with that in mind in different ways. It's an issue that our audience cares a lot about."
Reacting to the announcement, Pete wrote on Twitter that he is "excited to help bring this into the world".
So far, there is no word on who will star in the scripted series and no announced air date. Everything's Fine is expected to premiere sometime in the Fall.
