You're about to spend a lot more time on Snapchat.

Remember when Instagram totally did this to Snapchat last week?

Well Snapchat ain't taking it lying down, no siree. The social media giant has been looking for any and every way to keep people hooked on to the app and it looks like TV shows are Snapchat's next big project.

NBCUniversal are bringing some of its most recognizable brand names to Snapchat, except they won't be repurposing clips from the TV shows themselves. Instead, the shows will produce original content exclusively for Snapchat!

One of the first shows to take part is “The Voice on Snapchat,” a series that collects user-submitted performances judged by coaches from The Voice. Will you be watching the next Melanie Martinez before your very eyes on Snapchat? Maybe!

After that, Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon are expected to get the Snapchat filter treatment too, all with exclusive content straight to your Snapchat feed. Kinda sounds promising, right? Aside from making sure the shows are good, our second thought was whether viewing long clips on Snapchat will complete kill our battery life. It's already bad enough as it is! But we'll hold our judgement until we try the shows.

Which shows would you like to see on Snapchat? Let us know in the comments.
