Don't Open This Viral Video 'Cause It'll Crash Your Entire Phone

Don't get scammed.
Kids, if someone sends you a viral video by iMessage this holiday season, don't open it! We know it might be tempting, because like, what if it's a really important video of some of dogs in a car sliding around on a thick patch of ice? Just resist the urge to click this once, for your phone's sake.
According to The Verge, there's a five second video doing the rounds via iMessage that manages to crash your entire phone soon after watching. Yikes!
Don't worry, we're not gonna drop the actual video in here but we are gonna include this one that explains everything about it.
After about 10 seconds, the corrupted video will cause you iPhone to crash. The screen will freeze, the home and power buttons will become disabled. The ONLY way to save yourself - and your phone - from impending doom is by doing a complete hard reset aka holding down the power button and the home button at the same time. (If you've got an iPhone 7, it's the volume down button and the power button.)
Moral of the story is: Don't click on links from strangers, don't click on links from your trolling-ass friends... just don't read or open any text messages from now until your dying day. Ok? Good. Stay scam free this holiday season.
