We may only be seven days into 2019 but the memes are already coming in thick and fast.

Thanks to the success of Netflix shows like "Bird Box" and "Tidying Up with Marie Kondo" our meme tank has been truly running over. It's not just TV, though, we've also welcomed the "straight line, dashed line" meme and everyone is obsessed with that guy in the pink thigh-high boots. And shout out to Kim Kardashian, who never fails to get the meme treatment. God bless the internet.

Now we've been given some more content from the meme Gods. The "and it shows" meme has arrived and it's horribly accurate. The premise is simple, people are sharing something they grew up with or without and relating it to who people are now.

Got it? Well, here are just a few of the ones we've found from combing through the internet.

Some touch on some classic boyband beef.

Oh, the primary school nostalgia.

*has painful flashback*

Honestly, who didn't have an emo phase?

Erm...

We need to log off. Immediately.

Wait – everyone doesn't do this?

You poor things.

Well, that hurt.

Is... is Uber public transport?

Of course the One Direction fans applied the meme to their lives.

RIP Mufasa and Derek Shepherd.

Honestly, what would we do without the internet!?
