The red carpet is the best time to flex your personal style muscles and Sunday night's (24 November) American Music Awards spawned some, er, interesting outfits. Everyone was living for Lizzo's tiny purse, which apparently contained "tampons, tequila and condoms". Meanwhile, Halsey bleached her eyebrows and Megan Thee Stallion opted for a bold red look. But when it came time to see Billie Eilish's ensemble, the internet was pretty much shook.

The 'everything i wanted' singer walked the red carpet wearing a white bonnet with a bedazzled veil attached to it, which covered her entire face. Kind of like Handmaid's Tale meets high fashion beekeeper vibes. The custom Versace piece was paired with a Burberry top, trousers and matching trainers in Billie's signature baggy style, of course.
Needless to say, Billie's look was prime content for memes and the internet didn't disappoint.

The memes about Billie's outfit didn't seem to phase her one bit, though, she went on to deliver a standout performance of 'all the good girls go to hell'. She also scooped two awards on the night – Best New Artist and Favorite Artist Alternative/Rock.
She was practically shaking when she collected her first award for Favorite Artist Alternative/Rock, but Billie still managed to give a speech whilst her brother Finneas O'Connell proudly watched from the audience. She said: "Wow, wow, wow, this is so pretty! Wow, okay, ay-yai-yai-yai-yai. I can't believe I'm like standing in front of like – oh my God, this is, I'm like shaking! Whee! Sorry.
