John Mayer, Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie have all nailed the #BottleCapChallenge and now everyone is trying it.

In 2019, the internet has blessed us with so many iconic viral challenges. Challenges that involve texting your boyfriends about dick appointments, or wanting to have a baby. Challenges that see girls shopping for condoms and then filming their mums reactions. The TikTok triangle dance challenge. The "how do I look" sibling challenge...

Basically, there's been a lot of challenges - and now there's new one that requires the highest level of martial arts finesse. Well, to be honest, all you need is some good spacial awareness and the ability to kick with precision. How hard could it be? (Narrator: It was in fact, very hard.)

The latest challenge to take over social media is the Bottle Cap Challenge and attempting it is probably gonna be the most exercise we get all year.

What is the #BottleCapChallenge?

The Bottle Cap Challenge was a challenge started by Taekwondo champion Fabri Devletchin which then got picked up in the world of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). It sees people attempt to kick a twist cap off the top of a bottle - water, wine, vodka... whatever your poison, it doesn't matter. Basically it's just whatever you don't mind spilling.

Before doing the challenge, the cap needs to be slightly loose, but still screwed onto to the bottle. The aim is to manage to swipe the lid and make it twist off without knocking the bottle over. Preferably without anyone holding the bottle either.

The video then needs to be edited in slow-motion for everyone really see how hard you snapped.

So far, a handful of celebrities have attempted the challenge after being tagged by the professionals, like Conor McGregor. John Mayer, Jason Statham and director Guy Ritchie have all had a go - and they've absolutely smashed it. (Shawn Mendes was so gagged, he wrote "I actually can’t believe this wow" under Mayer's post.)

Since then, the challenge has been taking off on Instagram and Twitter, with both skilled and absolutely not skilled people attempting to do it.

MMA fighter Max Holloway even had his son to take on the challenge... who low-key nailed it.

The cap FLEW!

HOW is this possible?!

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH?!

A solid effort?

Spilling vodka is a crime in 42 countries, sir.

You can't say she didn't try!

I AM CRYING!

I'm opening my wine bottles like this from now on.

A whole genius.

We've found it. The best one so far. Everyone can go home.

Oh, here's Diplo doing it too. I hope Obama accepts his tag.
