The "can't hear, can't speak, can't see" meme is everywhere and it's all Bird Box's fault

'Hush', 'Bird Box', and 'A Quiet Place' have inspired the funniest "Can't hear, can't speak, can't see" memes.

The "can't hear, can't speak, can't see" meme is everywhere and you have three very specific horror movies to thank for that. Since Netflix's Bird Box dropped in December, fans have been reminded of two other horror movies where the premise revolves around not having access to one of their most important senses.

In 2016's Hush, the protagonist cannot hear. In 2018's A Quiet Place, a family must remain silent and, therefore, cannot speak. In 2018's Bird Box, the characters cannot remove their blind folds, meaning they cannot see.

The internet found a sense of humour about the common thread in all these films and the "can't hear, can't speak, can't see" meme was born.
