Just... why?

If you're looking for new food and drink ideas the internet is a fantastic place to find them, but you'll probably wish you hadn't stumbled upon this one – milk coke. It's the new beverage everyone on Twitter is downing and it's sparked a lot of debate.

Ariana Grande and Starbucks announce new drink the Cloud Macchiato

Milk coke is exactly that, simply mix one part milk together with two parts Coca-Cola. Apparently it's a thing in Birmingham, claimed comedy writer James Felton, and there are lots of variations. Use condensed milk, whole milk, or for the dairy-free people out there, almond or soy milk. If you're feeling particularly daring, change up the Coca-Cola for fruit-based Vimto or Ribena with milk, instead of water.

The delicious (or possibly vile) concoction has completely divided the internet. It's basically a coke float, which is made with vanilla ice cream. It should be wrong but somehow it's right?

Some people swear by a lovely glass of milk coke, topped off with ice.

But others weren't so keen...

The mixed reviews only mean one thing – you'll need to try it for yourself.
