The memes about the new Sonic The Hedgehog movie poster prove the fandom is equal parts creative and baffled.
A promotional poster for the 2019 Sonic The Hedgehog film hit the internet this week and, of course, there were plenty of memes and jokes to go around.
The film will see Ben Schwartz take on the role of Sonic in a movie about the famous hedgehog teaming up with a detective in order to halt the plans of the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The plot of the film seems passable. It's the gritty poster that has inspired some truly hilarious memes and reactions.

Of course, there is always the chance people will react with wild surprise when their favourite animated characters are brought to life. Just have a look at all the Detective Pikachu memes.
