WE DON'T FEEL SO GOOD.

Thanks to a negotiating standoff between Disney and Sony, Spider-Man will reportedly exit the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yes, Spider-Man is no longer apart of the MCU and fans everywhere are weeping at the injustice of it all. The memes about Tom Holland's Spider-Man no longer being a part of the MCU show just how hilarious (albeit distressed) the fandom truly is.

Deadline reported on Tuesday 20 August that Disney and Sony did not "reach new terms that would have given [Disney] a co-financing stake going forward." This stalemate has already led to calls for a boycott, a petition, and of course memes. Lots and lots of memes.

Here are the best memes about Tom Holland's Spider-Man leaving the MCU.

After incorporating Spider-Man into the MCU and unceremoniously yanking him out, fans are worried about Tony Stark's legacy, Tom Holland's future in the franchise and having to watch Uncle Ben die for the ten thousandth time.

People are already imagining Tom Holland's future in Sony's Spider-Man films.

So is everyone ready to watch Uncle Ben die for the millionth time?

And don't even get us started on Tony Stark's legacy.

The MCU firmly established Tony Stark as Peter Parker's mentor. So, when Tony Stark died in Avengers: Endgame, it was pretty much assumed that Spider-Man would honour his legacy as an integral part of the MCU. But, er, I guess not.

We're all freaking out, however, negotiations are said to be currently ongoing, as confirmed by ComicBook.com. So, for the sake of Tony Stark's legacy and our love of Peter Parker in the MCU, we're hoping that Sony and Disney can reach a deal.
