Tiffany & Co. Has A $1,500 Paper Clip On Their Website And The Internet Is Legit Screaming

I'm not even sure what's worse. The fact that it's a paper clip or the fact that it's a bookmark.
Tiffany & Co. is an iconic brand. Whether or not you've been fortunate enough to shop with the luxury brand or simply know of its cultural significance, there's no denying the fact that Tiffany's reputation precedes it.
That's why, when we heard Tiffany & Co. was trying their hand at "everyday objects", we just had to find out what kind of rich people realness they were serving up. Of course, the selection is WILD and the internet has reacted strongly to what the brand is offering.
People are not 100% sold on this $1,000 tin can.
When panhandling before the big riot, don't be caught without this stunning $1,000 tin can from Tiffany's pic.twitter.com/Mgw5IEup2H— The Safest Space (@TheSafestSpace) November 5, 2017

In other news, I now understand why people stormed the Bastille.https://t.co/Gq3pNxjySJ
MERCIFULLY, the Tiffany's site indicates that engraving is available for this item. If you're not rocking with an engraved sterling silver "tin can" then we can't be friends. That's my new rule for 2018.
Lest we forget the $9,000 ball of yarn made of sterling silver.
Whenever I get linked to Tiffanys I poke around until I find the product that makes me go uh WHY. Today's winner: pic.twitter.com/B7XjSR4eTu— Alisha Rai (@AlishaRai) November 7, 2017

The ball of yarn is described on the Tiffany's website as reimagining "an everyday yarn ball in handspun strands of textured sterling silver."
Okay, but what time are you putting in your order for this $1,500 18k gold paper clip?

Mom: yea sure, how much?
Me: $1,500 each
Tiffany & Co. is blatantly not making anything for mainstream popularity. These "everyday objects" are, in fact, pieces of modern art.
To be fair to Tiffany, it is modern artwork. Art paired with a name like Tiffany is expensive. Now that being said, can you imagine finding out someone threw your art tin can or paperclip in the recycling?— Elliot (@talullahdavis) November 7, 2017
Some Blair Waldorf type will be receiving a novelty tin can for the classy lolz and I can't even be mad at it. If I ever get divorced, I hope to use a Tiffany paperclip to hold my rich ex-husband's settlement papers together. Yes, I will be taking half your money. You're welcome to keep the paperclip.
