TikTok teenagers are using Jason Derulo's 'Get Ugly' to come out to their loved ones.

Coming out to the people you love is a huge step for any LGBTQ person, but Gen-Z have found themselves in the middle of a TikTok pandemic, and naturally, are using the platform to do all the talking for them. Because what doesn't calm down a raging Aunt like Jason Derulo?

Teenagers content creators have created a new challenge to help them come out as gay to their families using Jason's 2015 song 'Get Ugly' and for the most part, it's so damn wholesome.

The challenge involves two people, one straight family member or friend and one not-so-straight (themselves), and the song has a line that goes “Oh my, oh my, oh my god. This girl’s straight and this girl’s not" - and you guessed it, that's the moment that the queer teen points at their loved one, before pointing to themselves.

Surprise, they're gay!

We've gotta say, the reactions are pretty damn adorable. The teens in question have done the challenge with their parents, siblings and friends, and when they realise what's going on, they're met with tears of happiness and love.

We say 'when they realise what's going on', because of course, some are blissfully unaware, and simply enjoying dancing along for the internet trying to get down with the kids. You tried.

However, there's one video in particular that has stolen everyones hearts, and it's two teenagers accidentally using the song to come out to each other at the same time.

Captioned: “We both came out and realized we both like each other,” TikTok creator @tiarnie_marie posted the video with her best friend, which has since received over 1.2 million likes - and plot twist, they're now dating!

We cannot cope.

Now that, is how you do the internet.
