This latest TikTok challenge is pretty difficult, featuring over 15 fast-paced dance moves.
A new dance challenge is sweeping TikTok at the minute and it’s one of the harder dances to master on the platform, as far as TikTok dances go.
Containing over 15 dance moves to a short section of a song called ‘Lottery’ by K Kamp, it’s named after a lyric in the song and is pretty difficult, leading to a range of tutorials popping up online to try and master the moves. But who created it and how the hell do you do it?
Some celebrities who’ve had a go at the TikTok challenge include Bella Thorne, Kourtney Kardashian, David Dobrik, Millie Bobby-Brown and Noah Schnapp and the hashtag #renegade currently has over 340million views on the app.

Who created the ‘renegade dance’?
According to Know Your Meme, the challenge first came to life on Instagram in September 2019 before spreading to TikTok over the next couple of months. Instagram user @_.xoxlaii posted a video of herself dancing to the song ‘Lottery’ by K Camp and claimed that she created the dance and the post gained almost 4,000 likes.
Things didn’t really take off until the dance moved to TikTok the following month though.
On October 5th, 2019, @global.jones adopted the dance and brought it to TikTok but the dance rose to popularity after TikTok star Charli D'Amelio performed the dance a few weeks later. The video accumulated over 1.4 million likes in just two months.
How do you do the renegade dance?
Honestly, we are terrible dancers so literally could not explain it to you without being here all day. Luckily, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and TikTok explaining how to perfect the routine in no time.
