Oh, wow. TikTok users are rediscovering their love of Skins and it's a surprising but welcome development in the year 2019.

People on TikTok love meme-ing pop culture references from reality shows, commercials and even their favourite 00s teen dramas. The latest viral trend on the platform involves TikTok users reliving the glory days of Skins by parodying their deep obsession with the popular British programme.

TikTok users are using the intro song from Skins to make videos where they transform themselves into Skins characters like Effy, Cassie and Sid. They're also reenacting scenes from the iconic 00s show.

Skins first aired on Channel 4 back in 2007 and followed the lives of a group of British teenagers who spent their nights and weekends partying and getting into outlandish teenage predicaments. Skins later got a far less successful US adaptation but, truthfully, OG Skins' role as the blueprint for many popular teen dramas that followed cannot be overstated.

Characters on the show had their own wild aesthetics and catchphrases that almost certainly had you shook as a 12-year-old watching on the family computer without your parents' permission.

Cassie saying "wow" every 10 seconds was clearly a mood.

And, of course, Effy Stonem's style was #2007Goals.

But how could we forget all the accidental Sids out there?

And the "salad" scene from Skins is a classic.

Honestly, Skins going viral on TikTok in 2019 after we all spent our teenage years smudging our eye makeup to look like Effy is a surprising but welcome development.

What do you guys think? What was your favourite Skins moment growing up?
