Netflix's 'Velvet Buzzsaw' has inspired memes so good they belong in an art gallery

Netflix's 'Velvet Buzzsaw' has already given birth to memes about Jake Gyllenhaal's character as well as Natalia Dyer's Coco in the satirical comedy.

Netflix's Velvet Buzzsaw stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Toni Collette, and Zawe Ashton in a film about a collection of art that kills anyone who profits from it. The new Netflix movie starring Gyllenhaal has the actor playing Morf Vandewalt who is, coincidentally, an extremely large mood. People have turned elements of Velvet Buzzsaw into memes and some of them are so good they should be hung in a museum.

The mood of Velvet Buzzsaw could be summed up quite succinctly.

The chaotic energy of the film. The satirical art snobbery. The hairless cat. The AirPods. Velvet Buzzsaw was ripe for memes from the start. People also couldn't help but draw comparisons between Morf and Danny DeVito's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia art critic character, Ongo Gablogian.

Unfortunately, not everyone is loving Velvet Buzzsaw.

The reviews for Velvet Buzzsaw and social media reactions from viewers are mixed. Though the film had its moments, it doesn't appear that Velvet Buzzsaw will draw the same audience appreciation as Bird Box did back in December.

Coco had to be the unluckiest employee of all time.

Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer played Coco in Velvet Buzzsaw. It seemed that everywhere Coco worked, someone died. This, I'm sure, will make for a very complicated CV.

Morf Vandewalt had some truly priceless moments in Velvet Buzzsaw.
