Way back in May, Irish YouTube family, The Saccone Jolys, suffered a very public and very tragic miscarriage of their third child. They took a small break but soon returned to daily vlogging. Matriarch,Anna Saccone, has recently been m.i.a from her personal channel, which many assumed was because of the Saccone Joly's hectic personal lives.
Anna has now come forward and made a video explaining that it wasn't just the miscarriage that made her pull back from YouTube. It was the types of comments she received afterward and how they made her feel. Anna also revealed that she used to suffer from bulimia and describes her former eating habits as "not so normal".
Anna says she was called "obese" and fat shamed after a video work out series that she and a friend collaborated on. Strangers on the internet criticized her body shape, which left her feeling fragile after the miscarriage.

Daily and family vloggers have earned their fair share of criticism in recent times, but Anna Saccone Joly's revelation is important. She is young, beautiful, and successful but she has chosen to share with the world that she has lived with an eating disorder and continues to battle feelings of inadequacy.
Strangely enough, there are quite a lot of stories of remorseful internet trolls. Trolls who are having a particularly bad day so they write a mean comment to someone they would have, otherwise, left alone.
In this, Anna explains that the fat shaming comments from trolls didn't just affect her because she is sensitive or because she had a miscarriage. They affected her because she has a history of an eating disorder and a complicated relationship with food. Her speaking out on this is a gentle reminder to be kind to one another because there are so many layers to every story.
