Have YouTuber Challenges Gone Too Far?

In the lawless land of YouTubers, you can get away with a lot. Free of the constraints of TV watersheds, it's only YouTube's community guidelines that stand in the way of you and the warped imaginations of kids raised on the internet. 99% of the time, that produces some really cool sh*t.
However, we're not sure how we feel about the latest viral videos from two YouTubers, Bria and Chrissy.
You may remember a few weeks ago, a video with the wonderfully-clickbaity title "Lesbians Touch a Penis for the First Time" went viral. It was covered by many sites including MTV, LadBible, Huffington Post and more. The video - surprise surprise - consisted of lesbians touching a man's penis (which was censored out). It reached 23 million views. Not bad.
Now a new video from the same creators has appeared. And this time - surprise surprise - it's "Gay Men Touch a Vagina for the First Time". It's totally cringe, for a few reasons, but before we get on to that, let's clarify a few things.
We don't mind a good clickbait headline. Nor are we prudish. We DON'T think the content of videos are 'disgusting' because it involves genitals. Most importantly we don't think there is anything wrong with a man or woman getting their genitals out on camera. Live your best life, hun.
Having said that, like, what? The videos seems so utterly pointless. The video's aren't particularly enlightening or entertaining. It's got a certain shock value, that's for sure. But if that's the only goal, then where will it stop? Will they lock a claustrophobe in a safe? Take an aerophobia support group out on a day trip to the sky diving centre? Strap a fitness freak into an armchair and force them to eat chips and watch Ellen all day? Heaven forbid.
The premise, that you might have an aversion, or be confused, by the opposite gender's genitals because of your sexuality seems a little silly. Are they really surprised or just playing up to the camera? Cos if they are surprised, they should try this great thing called THE INTERNET where you can look stuff up like that, guilt and shame free.
But maybe we're missing the fun of it. Is it just LOLz? What do you guys think? Have YouTuber challenges have gone too far? We need your thoughts on this one.
