James Charles reveals hair loss due to bleaching in shocking video

In the video, James Charles warned fans never to bleach their hair.

James Charles has opened up about how he is suffering from rapid hair loss due to bleaching in a new Instagram video.

It's been a busy month for James Charles. First, the beauty vlogger launched his brand new Morphe mini palette. After facing accusations that the palette was a "blatant money grab," James joked that he would release medium and extra-large versions of the palette too.

Then the 20-year-old received a nomination in the Beauty category at the Streamy Awards against Jeffree Starr. And, last but not least, James roasted the Dobre Brothers by staging an awkward meet and greet.

Now, James is getting candid about the hair loss he's experiencing after bleaching his hair blonde.

Taking to Instagram stories, James stated: "I wanted to show you guys something that is pretty disgusting but I feel like you should definitely see 'cause I've been getting a lot of questions about it and that is my hair."

He then explained: "Obviously, you guys know I've been wearing hats and stuff. It's because there's so much breakage and damage from the bleaching process. As you guys can see, I have very little hair left on the actual top of my head." James then added: "This fucking sucks. This sucks so so much, it's so nasty."

James went on to say: "Whenever I dry my hair, this is what the towel looks like", while showing fans a towel full of his hair that had just fallen off out. He ended the video, advising: "If you ever think of bleaching your hair, don't!"

Afterwards, James shared a post writing "just to clarify: bleaching your hair CAN be safe as long as it's done correctly!!" He continued: "@guy_tang has both fixed and done my colour safely multiple times but I cheated on him with someone else because I had a shoot the next day. now I have to deal with the consequences. it's no ones fault but my own. the lesson is be patient and safe!!"

Later on Twitter, James wrote: "I’m tempted to just shave my head at this point" and "can someone photoshop me with a buzz cut please." But when a fan showed him what that might look like, James replied: "oh... oh no."

Okay so it looks like James will be holding onto his hair for now. Here's hoping that his hair loss issues end soon.
