Jeffree Star defends Nathan Schwandt following rumours he's dating someone new

Jeffree has taken to social media to slam the rumours following his break up with Nathan Schwandt.

Following news of their break up, Jeffree Star has now defended Nathan Schwandt and slammed rumours that he is "in Malibu with a woman".

Jeffree took to YouTube last weekend (10 Jan) to confirm the sad news that he and boyfriend Nathan Schwandt had broken up after five years. In a video titled 'We Broke Up', Jeffree revealed that he and Nate had broken up "a few weeks" ago, shortly after moving into their $14.6 million Hidden Hills mansion.

In the video, Jeffree opens up to his fans about what happened and how he's feeling. He also confirmed that the two were still friends and that there wasn't any "drama" or "tea" involved in their decision to break up.

However, shortly after Jeffree's video, rumours started circulating on drama channels that Nathan had reportedly left Jeffree for a woman in Malibu. Jeffree has now slammed the lies and called out the false reports.

As reported by Insider, Jeffree responded to a drama account on Instagram that claimed "nate is currently in malibu with a woman [sic]".

In a now deleted tweet, Jeffree wrote: "Wow. Nate is 10 feet away from me in the kitchen, how can ANYONE make up lies while him and I are both heartbroken and grieving? Truly disgusted by that... but not surprised."

The caption on the original Instagram post has now been edited.

To further clear up the rumours, Jeffree took to his Instagram Story to set the record straight.

"I was in Orange Country, which is like an hour and a half away from Hidden Hills, and I was visiting my grandma," said Jeffree. "Instead of having my security guard or team watch my dogs, why not have Nathan who raised them with me for years watch them instead."

He continued: "Him and I both thought it was necessary to show that he was actually at my house today because there is a few media outlets reporting that Nathan is in another city with another girl. You guys, do you think me and him want to date anyone else right now? Do you think that's on our minds?"

Jeffree also took to Twitter to slam the "media outlets reporting lies" about Nathan.

This weekend, Jeffree shared a picture of Nathan at their new home, smoking in the kitchen, alongside the caption: "Nate was being a dog dad all day."

In Jeffree's break up video, he reiterated that he has nothing but love for Nathan, saying that he "changed his world".

He also says that he and Nathan are still friends: "Me and Nathan will be friends forever, I will always have love for him. Are we in love with each other? No. But we love each other and he will always be in my life."
