"I just want to be somewhere I’m respected and treated fairly". Makenna Kelly aka Life With MaK says that she will leave YouTube after several of her videos were removed from the platform.

Popular ASMR YouTuber Makenna Kelly aka Life With MaK has announced that she is leaving YouTube after some of her videos were deleted from the platform.

The 13-year-old creator is known for posting AMSR videos of herself eating and acting out various scenarios. Clips of her YouTube videos often inspire memes and go viral on social media. The teen YouTube star currently has 1.5 million subscribers to her channel.

On June 7, Makenna tweeted that she had decided to leave YouTube and followed that up by responding to fans' questions regarding her choice.

"I just want to be somewhere I’m respected and treated fairly," she explained to fans in one tweet.

Makenna has been sharing examples of her videos being flagged and removed for 'violating community guidelines'. One recent example shows a notice she received about a video titled "ASMR Eating Dish Sponges and Dish Soap".

One of Makenna's most popular videos, a viral video of her eating honeycomb, has been removed from the platform after garnering more than 13 million views. In an interview with Buzzfeed News, Makenna revealed that 12 of her videos had been taken down in the past three months.

Makenna even addressed YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki over the matter.

In recent months, YouTube has made efforts to clamp down on pedophilia on the platform, including disabling comments on videos uploaded by minors and terminating the accounts of individuals associated with inappropriate activity.

Through her Twitter account, Makenna has argued that she has not violated YouTube's community guidelines, calling the deletion of her videos "discrimination".

YouTube has not publicly commented on the situation but we will update if and when they do.
