Logan Paul is having an, um, emo phase.

It seems like all the YouTubers are unleashing their inner emo lately – but the internet is not here for it. Trisha Paytas previously revealed she received the most hate she'd ever had after deciding to recreate My Chemical Romance's 'Helena' music video. Now it's Logan Paul getting backlash for pretending to become an emo for views.

On Wednesday (Mar 4), Logan uploaded a YouTube video titled 'Goodbye Logan Paul'. In the five minute clip, Logan begged his fans to subscribe to his channel (alleging that YouTube is purposely leaving him off of the homepage), cleaned his pierced nipple (???) and had his friends over, who teased him about that infamous meme of his emo doppelganger. Apparently, that's what prompted his emo transformation.

Logan shaves off his beard, pops on a black and purple wig, paints his nails black, gets some snakebite piercings, and adopts an emo persona. He also smashes up a guitar and buys some studded accessories from Hot Topic, all while 'Welcome To The Black Parade' by My Chemical Romance is playing. He even lip-syncs to it too.

Logan admitted the video was, obviously, all for views. However, the internet wasn't too pleased about him capitalising off of emo culture and kind of mocking it.

If you're wondering whether or not Logan's emo phase stood the test of time, it didn't. By Thursday (Mar 5) he had returned for work on his Impaulsive podcast where he was back to his blonde and bearded self.
