Not gonna lie, it's gorgeous!
Not to be presumptuous but, chances are, Michelle Phan is a name you've heard before. She is, at present, the fifth most subscribed woman on Youtube and one of the platform's most successful entrepreneurs. She started out as a beauty guru and now has has her own beauty subscription service, major brand deals, and is the voice of Jessica Jones in the Marvel Avengers Academy mobile game. So what do you do when you have quite literally done it all? Create a comic book series, of course.
Helios: Femina is the name of Michelle's brand new online web comic. She conceptualized the series and drew the artwork herself for the project that she has been working on since last summer.
Michelle says she has had the idea for this particular comic book since she was eleven. Now aged 28, Michelle is fulfilling a dream that spans nearly two decades.
Phan is certainly shaking things up by putting her comic online instead of printing it, but Michelle has always been savvy when it comes to how she executes her ventures.
I could have gone the traditional way and done the tried and true method of a graphic novel or a manga [...] I wanted a challenge. I wanted to work with a new format that was different, that wasn't like a book because I don't really write books; I produce content online.Michelle Phan
Claps for Michelle whose ever expanding empire serves as proof that women can have multi faceted interests. From beauty to a tech start up, her roles as a brand ambassador, and now artist, it seems like there is very little Michelle Phan can't do.
The first three parts of Helios: Femina are already online but starting March 27, fans can catch a new installment of the series every Sunday.
