Ned Fulmer has left The Try Guys following a “consensual workplace relationship” in which he cheated on his wife.

The Try Guys is a popular comedy group that has amassed almost 8 million YouTube subscribers. Members Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang, and (now formerly) Ned Fulmer, are known for their humorous videos and stand-up routines that often involve novel activities like swimming with sharks and eating everything off a menu.

On September 27th 2022, the group announced that they had parted ways with long-standing member Ned after a scandal that revealed he had cheated on his wife of 10 years. The group shared the statement on social media, thanking fans for their support during this period of change.

What did Ned Fulmer do?

“Ned Fulmer is no longer working with The Try Guys,” the statement reads, having been favourited by 273,000 Twitter users in less than 24 hours.

“As a result of a thorough internal review, we do not see a path forward together. We thank you for your support as we navigate this change.” Ned’s social media handles have already been removed from the group’s bios.

The departure comes after photos of Ned kissing a colleague were leaked on Reddit. A Twitter thread posted by user @camithomeyy summarises the drama, but the basics are that members of the r/TheTryGuys subreddit spotted several pictures of a man that looked like Ned kissing a woman – colleague Alexandria Herring - in a New York City club.

Suspicions were confirmed as Ned released a statement confirming infidelity.

"Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship,” he wrote. “I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel. The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my children, and that’s where I am going to focus my attention.”

Fans of the comedy group were shocked to learn that Ned had been unfaithful to his wife, as it is widely known among the fanbase that he is a “wife guy”. Ned married his wife, Ariel Fulmer, in 2012 and she has often appeared in videos and skits alongside her husband and his ex-colleagues. The couple shares two children.

“Just in genuine shock someone as smart as Ned would be SO recklessly willing to blow up his whole life,” one Reddit user wrote. “The wife obsessed image never seemed genuine to me anyway. Just an average bro trying to market an identity to fit in with three much funnier people. It was a facade from the start, which made it easier to undermine, imo,” replied another.

A third wrote: “They look very cosy, probably been going on for quite some time. Super sad and disappointing.”

Following the news of Ned’s departure, the Twitter reactions have been coming in thick and fast, summing up fans’ – and people only just learning about The Try Guys – reactions to the whole thing.

“The try guys try adultery” one person wrote. "Me, who has never watched a single try guys video in my life, reading the tea,” posted another, along with a photo of a classic Kris Jenner meme. “Me opening twitter first thing at 7 am this morning and finding out ned from the try guys cheated on his wife” said another, adding an iCarly GIF into the mix.

While Ned and Ariel are yet to announce anything regarding their relationship, Ariel has responded to the revelations with her own Instagram statement.

"Thanks to everyone who has reached out to me — it means a lot," Ariel wrote. "Nothing is more important to me and Ned than our family, and all we request right now is that you respect our privacy for the sake of our kids."
