YouTube sensation and horror movie fanatic Shane Dawson has confirmed that we can expect his first first horror movie in the near future, as he's using lockdown to work on a script for a movie he's 'wanted to make since being a kid'.

Shane Dawson is having a moment, and just months after announcing he's trying his hand at launching a beauty YouTube channel, he's confirmed he's working on a horror movie script.

It's a good year to be a fan, huh?

Yep, we could expect a Dawson-written blockbuster incoming very soon, as the 31-year-old has been using his time during lockdown to work on a movie he's 'been wanting to make since being a kid'.

The renowned horror fanatic has already released numerous shorts on YouTube in the past, including the iconic 'FRIENDS 4 EVER' and fans have already noticed his video editing style is inspired by American Horror Story, a show that he's known to be a fan of.

Announcing the news to fans, the tweet that now has over 110,000 likes read: 'Sorry I haven’t been very active lately or posting much. I’ve been taking some time to finally write a horror script for a movie I’ve been wanting to make since I was a kid.' He added, 'I’ve wanted to make horror movies my whole life so I’m really really excited and also very nervous.'

Naturally, everyone is going wild over the revelation, and supporters have already tried to enlist makeup artist Mykie, also known as GlamAndGore, to design the looks for its eventual production.

But, of course, we all want in too.

And fans are already casting themselves in the screenplay, even if it means making their Hollywood debut as a tree...

Shane previously took on acting in 2012 horror movie 'Smiley' and there's a lot of people out there secretly hoping he's helping to produce the sequel, despite the fact that it had a measly 18% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ouch.

He's made no hints as to what we can expect from the plot, but given his love for movies such as Scream, we wouldn't be surprised if he introduced a serial killer that we somehow fall in love with into our lives.

Halloween will henceforth be known as Shane Dawson day, and we cannot wait to see his name on those end credits.
