Very cool person alert!!
We, at Popbuzz, are obsessed with a lot of things--two of them being YouTube and diversity. Luckily for us, there is no shortage of talented YouTubers of colour that we can gush about. Last week we shared our love of Asian-American YouTuber, Anna Akana. This week, we're talking about the wonderfully outspoken and multi-talented Kat Blaque.
Meet Kat.

Kathryn Wilkins is a 25 year old, transgender artist and YouTuber who has been making videos on YT for the last three years. Her videos often discuss social issues like race, gender, sexuality, as well as takes on topical stories. A lot of the time Kat answers email questions from fans and there's never a dull moment when she sits down with her "true tea" mug.
Why is she important? Because the issues that she tackles rarely get the in depth mainstream coverage they deserve. And, when Kat goes in, she goes all the way in.
Like the time she broke down the online troll culture epidemic.
Or when she gave a much needed lesson on cultural appropriation.
One of the most important aspects about Kat Blaque's online presence, is that she adds a much much needed voice to discussions about the trans community. Unfortunately, trans people are often spoken about and but rarely spoken to. Kat doesn't speak for the entire trans community, but she speaks to her own personal experiences and that is incredibly important on a platform like YouTube.
Kat isn't just a YouTube creator, she's an incredible artist as well.
You can also look at and purchase some more of Kat's art on her Society6 page.
If there is one super talented, very woke and hella candid YouTuber you want to follow today, Kat Blaque is probably your best bet.
