Zoella Hits Back At Criticism Of Her Homeware Collection But Do They Have A Point?

"What's she flogging now?"
Earlier this week YouTube superstar Zoella announced that she was releasing a homeware range. Because why not, right?
In fact, it isn't as random as you might think. Zoella is known for having quite an eye for interior decor, having previously completed an interior design internship and, let's be real, her massive house with boyfriend Alfie Deyes always looks cozy af. The line features everything from candles, plant pots, stationary and pillows.
But, as with anything Zoella does, it received quite a lot of criticism, with many people accusing Zoe of shamelessly cashing in on her brand by putting her name on any old shit.
Zoella literally tweeting 'I dont just slap my name on on things' when we all remember her ghost written book though

Zoella isn't taking it lying down, hitting back at her critics on Twitter.
When will some people realise I don't just slap my name on things. I work BLOODY HARD at everything I chose to bring out.

These things take months, if not years of careful planning, testing & designing & every single thing I have, I am 100% proud of & happy with

I don't sit at home waiting for everyone else to do everything for me, I'm way too much of a perfectionist/control freak for that

The thing is, celebrities will always be flogging something, so I don't think it's that much of a stretch for Zoella to go into homeware. Although after the ghostwriting scandal, perhaps Zoe shouldn't be that surprised if people are sceptical of her involvement with other products. Just a thought...
