Why is this happening?
James Franco has written a book about Lana Del Rey. We love Lana, but we'd actually struggle to source material for an essay about her, let alone a whole entire book.
What is in this book, you ask? Well, in James Franco's copy there is said to be a lock of Lana's hair, a pressed flower, and some blurry words from where his tears of frustration spilled on the page.
This is the cover of the book:
If you just choked on your drink…yup. That sounds about right.
The book is called Flip-Side: Real And Imaginary Conversations With Lana Del Rey and it will be available for purchase next March.
Is this a performance piece? Is this a trick and when you actually buy the book it's his thesis from NYU that he wants you to proofread for him? What's happening?
Anyway, this is a thing you can buy in the relatively near future.
