The Dude sends us off to Dreamland.
When it comes to being calm and relaxed, you don't get much more chill than the Dude.
So it makes perfect sense that actor Jeff Bridges would be the one to come along with an ambient album designed to help people fall asleep.
Sleeping Tapes is a new record full of soothing melodies, ambient background noise, and quiet musings, poetry and humming from Jeff in his warm, gravelly voice.
We're about a third of the way through it while writing this post, and we are oh, so very close to nodding off. It's spellbinding. Somebody get me coffee.
Jeff's intent in releasing this album is to help the world slow down and get a little rest:
"The world is filled with too many restless people in need of rest – that's why I filled my sleeping tapes with intriguing sounds, noises and other things to help you get a good night's rest. - Jeff"Jeff Bridges, Sleeping Tapes
A truly noble cause. But that's not the end of it - If you buy the album, you can sleep better knowing that 100% of the retail price goes directly to non-profit organisation No Kid Hungry. How great is that? We'd jump with excitement but we're having trouble standing up. This album is a hell of a powerful sleeping agent.
You can buy the album in digital, cassette or a gorgeous gold-plated LP over at dreamingwithjeff.com. But if you feel like a nap and want to give it a test run, you can stream some of it for free below.
